Samsung has released a new One UI 8.5 beta update for the Galaxy S25 series. It is the tenth beta update for South Korea and Germany, but it is called the ninth beta update in India and the UK. It is the same update in all four countries, featuring the same firmware version ending (ZZDD). It brings four new Galaxy AI features and fixes multiple bugs.
Galaxy S25 gets One UI 8.5 Beta 10 update
The new One UI 8.5 beta update with firmware verison S93xBXXU9ZZDD is now available for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra in Germany, India, South Korea, and the UK. It has a download size of over 900MB. You can only install this update if you live in the four countries mentioned above and have already enrolled your device into the One UI 8.5 Beta Program.
It brings four new Galaxy AI features:
- Call Screening: The phone takes calls on your behalf usign an AI system. It asks the caller their name and the purpose for the call. It also saves the transcription of the call.
- Creative Studio: Offers Generative AI-powered image editing features. You can draw and even describe edits through text prompts. It also offers sticker generation.
- Improved Audio Eraser: It now works with more third-party apps and can be activated from the Quick Panel.
- Improved Photo Assist: Offers even more image editing features.
As you can see in the screenshots below, the update fixes a bug due to which the call screen appears late after the arrival of a call. It also solves the proximity sensor bug during calls. 4K HDR videos recorded on the Galaxy S25 series using certain third-party apps introduced green lines, and that bug has been solved as well. Bluetooth crashes and multitouch issues have also been fixed.

- Fixed a proximity sensor error during calls.
- Fixed an issue where green lines appear when recording videos in 4K HDR with the camera in certain 3rd party apps.
- Improved Bluetooth crash issues.
- Improved multi-touch malfunction after using accessibility magnification.
Samsung is expected to release the stable update to the Galaxy S25 series later this month or early next month.
