Over the weekend, we first reported the name of Google’s Whoop competitor as “Fitbit Air,” and now more details are coming out, including potential pricing, release date, and colors.

Citing supplier and retail data found following our reveal of the “Fitbit Air” branding, the folks over at Droid-Life have uncovered several key details about the upcoming fitness tracker.

First and foremost, this supplier data suggests the Fitbit Air could cost around $100 – this is based on one supplier’s price of $93. It’s hard to know this for sure, but it seems pretty reasonable. Google’s main competitor, Whoop, doesn’t charge for its hardware and instead bundles that into an ongoing subscription for the health tracking features.

The supplier data also suggests a May 16 release date for Fitbit Air.

Beyond that, this new information also reveals several band and color options the Fitbit Air will be available in. The core colors apparently include “Obsidian,” “Lavender,” and “Berry,” with band options including Performance Loop, Active Band (in small and large sizes), “Elevated SoftFlex,” and Metal Mesh. Most of these are borrowed from Pixel Watch, with “Elevated SoftFlex” presumably being the one we’ve seen on Steph Curry’s wrist, and the one most closely matching Whoop.

Colors for the various bands follow, as collected by Droid-Life:

  • Performance Loop Band: Obsidian, Fog, Lavender, Berry
  • Active Band (Small, Large): Obsidian, Fog, Berry, Lavender,
  • Elevated SoftFlex Band: Obsidian, Moonstone, Porcelain
  • Metal Mesh Band: Silver, Warm Gold

It all seems to be coming together quite quickly, and we’re certainy looking forward to more details.

What do you think of the Fitbit Air so far?
